The third instalment of the cult futuristic racing series, Megarace 3 allows players to take control of high powered geo pods and race around a surreal environment. Since it's launch in 1993, the Megarace series has sold a staggering 1.3 million copies worldwide. The pods are specially designed for space and combat, racing to a commentary supplied by dynamic video clips supplied by the maverick presenter Larry Boyle. This time the setting is completely different. The geo pods have caused widespread damage to wildlife, resulting in gigantic animals and germs the size of cars, creating a truly unique environment. Across 33 roaring tracks, Megarace 3 offers players a choice of 12 raving pods, each with different specifications. Influenced by the insect world, the vehicles have three modes of speed, defence and attack. All pods are fully customisable with option of improving the engine, armour and weapon efficiency, essential when competing in a solo race or against fellow players in the Dual or Capture the Flag modes.
